These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of KodiManager, a rental property management platform for landlords and tenants in Kenya. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms.
KodiManager is available to landlords, property managers, and their tenants. You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
Landlord accounts operate on a subscription basis (Free, Basic, Standard, or Premium), each with a maximum number of units. Plans, pricing, and unit limits are shown on the Pricing section of our website and may change from time to time; we'll make reasonable efforts to notify active subscribers of material changes. Continued use of the platform after a plan change constitutes acceptance of the new terms for that plan.
The Android app can optionally detect M-Pesa/bank payment notifications on a landlord's device to auto-record payments. This feature relies on Android's notification-access permission, is entirely optional, and can be disabled at any time. Landlords remain responsible for reviewing and confirming payments recorded through this feature, including any flagged as "needs review."
Landlords are responsible for the accuracy of the tenant, property, and payment data they enter or import into the platform. KodiManager is a record-keeping tool and does not verify the accuracy of amounts, dates, or tenant details entered by users.
We aim to keep KodiManager available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features dependent on third-party infrastructure (e.g. our hosting/database provider, WhatsApp, mobile networks) may be affected by outages outside our control.
KodiManager is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform, including disputes between landlords and tenants, missed payments, or data entry errors.
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, engages in fraudulent activity, or poses a security risk to the platform or other users. You may stop using KodiManager and delete your own account and its data at any time — landlords from Settings → My Account, and tenants from their dashboard — with no need to contact us first, though you're welcome to if you'd rather we handle it.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
